Crime Documentary - South Africa (Full version - Part 1)

By admin On March 10, 2010 Under Crime Videos

(part 1) People around the world can have a look at the South African goverment’s reaction when Solidarity gave roughly 40 000 letters from citizens to president Jacob Zuma. These letters request that the goverment makes the prevention of crime their number one priority. This is a mini documentary (the full length will also be added) produced by the Solidarity Movement that describes this. It is hosted by Steve Hofmeyr.

Daar was mos ‘n meeting of minds…?

We are changing and evolving. The idea of putting something like this up would never have happened 1 year ago.
Now people are letting their voices be heard. No-one says it is going to be easy but why don’t those who post negative comments rather try spend their time finding a positive reason to be constructive and get the word out about this video…

A lot of people are despondent. the one thing you have to realise is that it took the ANC government approx. 30-40 years to build the little propaganda side-show they now enjoy (although the cracks are showing) It is going to take a while to turn that around. You have two choices, give up, then what you going to do? Or carry on fighting and try make it work. Don’t you think?

We tried talking, it failed. We tried to get people aware on the internet, it failed. We make videos in the hope that someone sees it, and does something, that too failed. Writing letters to our president… FAILED!

Nothing what we are doing is currently working, I am sick and tired of the crime in this country. Unfortunately I also know it will be a struggle for the death penalty, since parliment will then start losing family.

Brilliant documentary produced by South aFrica’s most active trade union. It’s a very moving documentary - and it breaks my heart.
