How long do police have in Canada to charge you with a crime after the crime takes place?
If you get arrested and brought into the police station and are questioned by the police, and then immediately released, and are told they will contact you if they are going to charge you, how long do they have to charge you with a crime? They’re positive the crime happened and have solid proof. It was a nonviolent weapons crime.

OK. First, it wasn’t me. And second, I guess I shoulda said this, he sorta threatened the guy, but then was just messing around with the gun, like they were friends, and since he was drunk, accidentally pulled the trigger. My friend said it was some special trigger that shot twice when you pull it.
